Privacy Policy

Altoquant is designed to keep ordinary local work on your devices while using managed services for the online features you choose. This policy explains the categories of data we handle, why we use them, and your choices.

1. Controller and scope

Bitprods SRL BV, a Belgian private limited company registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under 0633.830.464 (VAT BE0633.830.464), is responsible for the personal data described here. Our registered office is Leuvensesteenweg 533, box 1, 1930 Zaventem, Belgium. This policy applies to the Altoquant website, applications and related online services. Contact contact@altoquant.com.

2. Information we handle

  • Account and contact information: identifiers such as your email address, profile details, membership and access status, support messages, subscription choices, and information you provide when contacting us.
  • Device, transaction and service information: device and application details, service configuration, account and Team activity, confirmations, downloads, operational status, and records needed to provide requested features.
  • Security and usage information: network and request data, timestamps, browser or application type, approximate region, diagnostics, reliability information, and signals used to secure and operate the service.
  • Content you choose to provide: names, images, instructions, Team information, settings, messages, files or other content submitted to an online feature. Some sensitive values may be handled by protected service features at your direction.
  • Information kept locally: much of the ordinary Desktop experience, including local work and command output, is designed to remain on your devices unless you deliberately use a connected feature or share it.

3. How and why we use information

We use information to provide and administer Altoquant; authenticate users and devices; deliver requested communications and downloads; support Team and connected features; protect users and the service; prevent fraud and abuse; diagnose reliability issues; respond to support and privacy requests; improve the product; and comply with law or protect legal rights. Depending on the context, we rely on performance of our agreement, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations. You may withdraw consent where consent is the basis, without affecting earlier processing.

4. Local, managed and third-party processing

Altoquant combines local device processing with managed online services. Connected features process the limited information reasonably needed for their function. Team sharing can make selected content and ordinary connection information available to the people and devices you authorize. Local data and copies already received by an authorized device cannot necessarily be recalled remotely. Commands and third-party tools you choose may send information to their own providers under separate terms and privacy policies. A local reset may preserve a private recovery copy of this Mac's Altoquant data; it does not delete project folders, third-party credentials, managed account or team records, or data on another device.

5. Sharing and international transfers

We may share information with service providers supporting hosting, infrastructure, identity, email, security, customer support and business operations; with users and devices you authorize; in a corporate transaction; or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, or protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal data for money or use it for targeted advertising. Providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for transfers.

6. Retention

We retain information for no longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, taking account of account and Team lifecycle, active features, security, support, backup, legal, tax and dispute requirements. Temporary security and transaction records use bounded retention where practical. We may retain limited records when required by law or reasonably needed to prevent abuse, resolve disputes or enforce agreements. Deletion from backups and distributed systems may take additional time.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the service, including access controls, encryption in transit, protected storage for managed sensitive data, restricted local permissions and monitoring. No service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for securing your devices, accounts, provider credentials, commands, permissions and backups, and for promptly revoking lost or compromised access.

8. Cookies and local storage

Altoquant uses strictly necessary first-party cookies and browser storage for authentication, security, continuity of requested actions and interface preferences. These technologies are not optional because the relevant feature cannot operate safely without them. At the date of this policy, we do not use optional analytics or advertising cookies. If optional analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, we will provide the choices required before activating them. You can clear local browser data in your browser settings, although doing so may sign you out or reset preferences.

9. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data; receive a portable copy; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and appeal or complain to a regulator. You will not be discriminated against for making a valid request. We may verify identity, apply reasonable safeguards against abusive or repeated requests, and limit or decline a request where permitted by law, including to protect other people, security, confidential business information or legal obligations.

Use the verified request flow below or email contact@altoquant.com. An email's sender address alone does not prove identity. Access packages exclude passwords, credentials, Secret values, security controls, confidential implementation and other people's data. Account deletion does not erase local files, provider data, or copies previously received by an authorized device. A solely owned Team must be transferred or deleted first. Personal Vault items are managed separately from account deletion and must be deleted through Secrets in the app.

10. Children

Altoquant is a professional software tool and is not directed to children. Do not provide a child's personal data unless you are authorized and the use is lawful. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data improperly.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product and law evolve. We will post the current version here, give additional notice where required, and request consent again when required. You may contact Bitprods SRL BV at the registered office above or contact@altoquant.com. You may also contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority or your local privacy regulator where applicable.
